Feature Interview Excerpt

On inspiration..
'When you've written for a while then writing is something you can do for various reasons. You realize all the sorts of things it connects you with. Reading others people's stuff inspires me.'

Special Tenth Anniversary Issue!

If we had put a bumper sticker on The Claremont Review when we first started, it just might have said, where are we and how did we get into this hand basket? It is nearly impossible to envision this magazine without thinking of Terence Young and Bill Stenson who dreamed it back in 1991 out of a desire to see student writing celebrated, and celebrated publicly, not just stapled to the bulletin board at the back of a classroom.

And they brought together an incredible team of editors, Kim Andiel, Kimberly Lemieux, and Janice McCachen who have further strengthened it. We even have a business editor now, Susan Field, who keeps all the papers in order and makes sure the magazine gets into the many hands of our subscribers.

'This is the magazine to turn to
if you want to see the future of
Canadian Literature'.
